Thank you for contributing to a great season!

The Champney’s West Aquarium opened for the 2023 summer season on Friday June 23rd and closed Wednesday September 5, 2023, operating 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday.

All of us (our human staff team as well as all our remarkable marine animals!) were delighted to welcome our 4,500 plus visitors – children and adults from the surrounding communities and from all over the world! It was a pleasure meeting and interacting with you, and we hope you enjoyed your time with us.

We were also pleased to welcome visitors to the Ella Freeman Heritage House Museum and to chat with some of the many hikers who enjoyed the Fox Island Trail that showcases the beauty and charm of our Champney’s West community. Thank you all for your support through your generous donations and heartwarming comments.

We have exciting plans for the 2024 season.

Check back often for updates about the new spaces, displays, activities and events available to visitors next year. Meanwhile, the CWHG is organizing a series of fundraisers, starting with a chance to acquire a beautiful framed original painting (31″ x 42″) created and donated by Newfoundland artist Ed Roche. https://edroche.com/

“Ice Flow, Champney’s East” will be included in the Bartlett Auction House Online November sessions – Thurs. Nov. 16 to Tues. Nov. 28, 2023. Bartlett Auction will donate 100% of the auction value to CWHG. Register for the auction here: https://bartlettauctions.com/register
